Though it's smaller than one square mile, Boston’s North End has a ton of attractions packed within its perimeter. This is Boston’s oldest residential community, and boasts 12 landmarks that are included in the National Register of Historic Places. The list includes the impressive Paul Revere house, as well as Copp’s Hill Terrace, and Union Wharf. Owing much of its culture to the large Italian-American population, the neighborhood has feasts every summer to honor patron saints of Italy. These celebrations include parades, food, music, and dancing. The North End also has plenty of affordable walking tours, including the highly praised Michele Topor’s Boston Food Tour and The Boston By Foot Tour.
